Me -- for AJJ

I don't make New Year resolutions because no one I know has ever been able
to keep the ones they made.  Last year however, when,  I decided to keep going
with creating digital pages.
I found something out about myself .
. Crafting -the hands on way- some days is painful, as I have already mentioned in previous posts.
I always start off  a craft session, in  my craft room and see how the land lies with my grip.
If its okay, off I go getting messy, inky and generally having a good time.
Sometimes, when things end up on the floor too many times for my liking and paints etc have been spilled  across the desk. [mopped up on journal pages, no waste]..
 I now, don't get upset,.
Take a few photos of what could be used in my digital pages
and turn on the computer.
Digital opened a whole new outlook on crafting and has enabled me to continue
with a creative hobby that I love.
So that is my story today to go with this journal page for
where Erika has set the theme ....
Tell me a story.

Thank you for calling in to see me today, you are very welcome here.

My new header was made using  a journal  page you can see   here
Digital additions today
mainly from A Young
kits  at Oscraps.

  5. I think this is a great page Yvonne. And I love the story too. I haven't done a lot digitally but I keep thinking I should try. And the quote is one that we all should remember-or at least me. Sometimes you just want it to be easy, but that doesn't make it good, does it? Thanks for sharing today. :) Hugs-Erika

  6. I hadn't realised you had a problem with your hands Yvonne, I have a similar problem and I do get fed up when I drop an inked stamp onto my project ! I wish I knew how to do digital stuff but I'm computer illiterate LOL , don't even know how to change my ancient blog header. I've just bought a Misti but don't know if I like it or not, time will tell. Your digital art is fantastic and I love how you combine it with the inky stuff that you do so well. Happy New Year

  11. I wish I knew digital, because I often feel that way about my art. As a consequence, I tend to take shortcuts and my pages often look like it, too.

Your sentiment reminds me of me when I was going for my Ph.D. Actually, I found it easier than I expected, because it was a focused discipline, since all the required courses were out of the way in my undergrad studies. But I agree, it was well worth it. As is your lovely AJJ entry today.

  13. A lovely page and story Yvonne. I didn't know you suffered with your hands like I do. Isn't getting old a pain. I just can't do digital, which you seemed to have managed very well.

What a great way to turn a negative into a positive - and it's certainly been a delight watching how you've embraced combining craft supplies and computer technology to create your digitally altered artworks. I love the beautiful bluesy woman, as well as your gorgeous new blog header. Hope 2017 brings you wonderful things.
